We are happy to announce that Kathy Bishop has joined the Moosehead Historical Society as our new Associate Director. Kathy is a Greenville native and has been a familiar face in this community for a long time. Most folks around here will know her from her many years in the Greenville school system, where she worked as a technology coordinator and a first-grade teacher. She has also served as director of Shaw Public Library, a volunteer host at Lily Bay State Park, and an ambassador at the Destination Moosehead Visitors Center.

In her new role, Kathy will be helping with day-to-day operations at our campuses, staffing the Lumbermen’s Museum, supporting our collections work, coordinating volunteers, and assisting with programs and outreach. She is someone who genuinely loves the history of this region and enjoys connecting with the people who come here to learn about it.

We are a small organization and we are careful about who we bring on. Kathy is the right fit. We are glad to have her.
