Join us Thursday, July 24 at 4:00 PM at the Center for Moosehead History (6 Lakeview Street, Greenville) for an awe-inspiring presentation by long time board member Eric Ward as he shares his expedition through one of the most remote and breathtaking landscapes on Earth: The Akshayuk Pass in Auyuittuq National Park, Nunavut, Canada.

The adventure begins in the Inuit town of Qikiqtarjuaq and continues with a 50-mile snowmobile ride over sea ice to North Pang Fjord—the gateway to a 63-mile trek through glacier-carved valleys and rugged mountain terrain. Eric’s path leads past towering peaks like Mount Asgard (6,600′) and Mount Thor (4,500′, home to the world’s tallest vertical cliff), across Windy Lake and the Arctic Circle, all the way to the coastal hamlet of Pangnirtung.

From the ethereal glow of the Penny Ice Cap to the humbling silence of Cumberland Sound, this is a journey you won’t want to miss. Come hear the stories behind the footsteps, the landscapes, and the legacy of an unforgettable expedition.
